About
Welcome! I am Abby, the owner of a Spearfish, SD based permanent makeup studio! I strive to create the most natural looking permanent makeup for my clients. •••By-Appointment-Only••• *What is microblading?* Microblading is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows. With a microblade instrument and shading machine, I create crisp, hair-like strokes to make natural looking brows. *Do you shave my eyebrows off first?* No! Your natural brows are just enhanced with microblading. A few single hairs here and there may come out but I don’t remove your brows to do microblading. *How long does it last?* Microblading, lip blushing and Lashline enhancements are all considered semi-permanent tattoos which does mean they will fade over time. How quickly the pigment fades is different for each person as everyone has different skin and environmental factors. Skin type, daily environment, sun exposure, products and medications (topical and systemic) are all factors on how long the pigments will last. Some people will opt to do yearly “color-up” sessions to maintain the makeup easier while others can go years between sessions. *How long does it take?* For microblading and lip blushing, initial session takes between 2-3 hours. In that time, we consult, shape, color match, numb and do the procedure. The second session 4-7 weeks after the initial, is called a “retouch” and takes 1-1.5 hours where I make sure the color saturation and shapes are as perfect as we can get them! For Lashline enhancement, the initial session is 1.5-2 hours and the 4-7 week retouch is around 1 hour. *Does it hurt?* A topical cream is used before I begin and another gel is used throughout the process. While these products do a great job of numbing, some clients might feel slight discomfort at points during the session. Most people compare it to a slight sunburn feel. *Can anyone have permanent makeup done?* While I would love to see any and all interested clients, no, not everyone is a candidate. The following are contraindications: -under 18 -pregnant or nursing -someone taking prescription rentinols -someone in active chemotherapy (doctors permission required for treatment 6+months in remission) Please note: clients who do chemical peels, laser therapy and Botox/filler treatments must wait 6 weeks between to do permanent makeup. *$100 scheduling fee required on all procedures. •Cancellation policy: a minimum of 48 hour notice is required or scheduling fee is forfeit. Day of cancellations result in half the price of the service taken. A new scheduling fee would be required to schedule again. Please know that it is very difficult to try and fill a spot after a last minute cancellation therefore my cancellation policy was written. •Please arrive at at least 5 minutes early to appointments to keep a timely schedule. •••Hours vary—by appointment only!•••Business Hours
